All women are at risk for developing
breast cancer. In fact, one in eight women will experience breast cancer in her
lifetime. This disease is devastating to women, their families and our
communities.
The Georgia Breast Cancer Coalition
Fund (GBCCF) was formed by individuals who came together for a common cause—to
fight to eliminate breast cancer for our future generations.
Our mission is three fold:
To
educate local, state and national legislators and the public about all
aspects of this devastating disease: the importance of early detection,
lifestyle changes, treatment and research;
To
advocate at the state and national levels for increased breast cancer
research funding, health care reform and breast cancer legislation that will be
of benefit to all; and
To
eradicate breast cancer — We Can’t Wait for a Cure.
